Cross-Serogroup Analysis of Representative Top-Seven Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli Plasmids Reveals Lineage-Specific Patterns
It is revealed that different STEC lineages carry distinct plasmid-borne combinations of disease-promoting, resistance, and transfer-associated genes, and a detailed cross-serogroup framework is established that can inform future risk assessment, outbreak surveillance, and public health intervention strategies.
