Education, Innovation, And Technology: Interfaces for Educational Development
The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed educational systems, creating new opportunities to improve teaching, learning, and institutional development. Within this context, this study examined the interfaces among education, innovation, and technology by analyzing the theoretical foundations that support their contribution to educational development. To achieve this objective, a qualitative research design based on an integrative literature review was adopted, drawing upon books, peer-reviewed journal articles, and institutional documents addressing educational innovation, digital technologies, Artificial Intelligence, teacher professional development, learning theories, and educational policies. The findings indicate that technological innovation contributes to educational improvement when integrated with sound pedagogical practices, continuous teacher professional development, ethical governance, and coherent public policies. The review further demonstrates that Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies can strengthen instructional planning, personalize learning experiences, improve educational management, and expand access to knowledge, provided that their implementation remains aligned with educational objectives and responsible institutional practices. It is concluded that education, innovation, and technology constitute complementary and interdependent dimensions of educational development, reinforcing the importance of educational strategies that combine pedagogical quality, technological advancement, and equitable learning opportunities.
