The demographic factors associated with CD screening among active-duty servicewomen (ADSW) born in endemic countries, with and without a reported history of pregnancy are described, reflecting a gap in implementation of current recommendations.
To minimise early treatment discontinuation among active-duty servicewomen, the MHS should expand reproductive services to more facilities, integrate standardised psychological support and conduct qualitative research to explore uncaptured reasons for ADSW to discontinue care.
This study demonstrated a much higher prevalence estimates in both civilian and military populations than reported in prior studies, and female service members experienced a significantly higher prevalence of infertility than their civilian counterparts.
