From Closed to Mighty: How GTP-Induced Allosteric Dynamics, Dimerization, and Membrane Binding Transform a Bacterial Dynamin-like Protein

This study investigates the bacterial dynamin-like protein (BDLP) from Nostoc punctiforme, which undergoes a dramatic closed-to-open transition upon GTP binding, and shows that BDLP dimerization and membrane binding are necessary to initiate the stabilization of the open conformation.
