Cell-specific cPGES control of glucocorticoid receptor function drives MASLD progression.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is the most prevalent chronic liver disorder and progresses through distinct pathological stages whose specific drivers remain unclear. Here we show that cytosolic prostaglandin E synthase (cPGES) drives MASLD progression in a cell-type-specific, prostagl...

Ganoderic Acids Alleviate Dexamethasone-Induced Muscle Atrophy Potentially via Regulating Protein Synthesis/Degradation, Attenuating Oxidative Stress, and Antagonizing Glucocorticoid Receptor.

Ganoderic acids (GA), a class of specific triterpenoids found exclusively in Ganoderma lucidum, have broad pharmacological activities. The purpose of this study was to determine whether GA attenuates dexamethasone (DEX)-induced muscle atrophy and to explore the underlying mechanisms. The therapeutic effect of GA (at in...

A novel Keap1-Nrf2 inhibitor 6K delays the progression of AKI-to-CKD by mitigating maladaptive repair

It is demonstrated that Nrf2 deficiency exacerbates AKI-CKD progression through redox imbalance and ferroptosis-mediated maladaptive repair, and targeting Keap1-Nrf2 with 6K protects against renal injury and fibrosis, highlighting its therapeutic potential for kidney diseases.
