Determination of 10 nitrosamines in stinky mandarin fish and cumulative health risk assessment across four dietary patterns.

In this study, a health risk assessment of 10 N-nitrosamines (NAs) in stinky mandarin fish under four dietary patterns and different exposure frequencies was conducted using disability-adjusted life years (DALYs). Considering the numerous non-detected values found in samples, Quantile-Quantile (Q-Q) plot model was empl...

Machine learning-assisted dual-mode immunochromatographic detection of pentachlorophenol via oriented antibody-functionalized AFIrTPs nanoprobes.

Pentachlorophenol (PCP), a human carcinogen, is widely detected in human biosamples, despite being banned in aquaculture, continues to show high detection frequencies in aquatic products according to regulatory reports. Therefore, there is an urgent need for reliable on-site testing methods. Immunochromatographic assay...

Emergence of an optrA-positive Enterococcus faecalis ST699 lineage in animal-derived foods in Beijing, China.

Animal-derived foods are highlighted as important reservoirs of linezolid-resistant Enterococci and genomic evidence consistent with their role as potential sources of optrA-mediated resistance is provided to highlight the need for continued surveillance of foodborne antimicrobial resistance within the One Health frame...

Deoxynivalenol triggers pyroptosis in intestinal epithelial cells via NLRP3 inflammasome activation mediated by the TLR4-NF-κB/p38 MAPK signaling pathway.

TLR4 inhibition with TLR4-IN-C34 confirmed that TLR4 acts as an upstream regulator controlling both NF-κB and p38 MAPK signaling, thus inhibiting NLRP3 inflammasome activation and alleviating pyroptosis.
