Host transcriptional corepressor TLE1 is commonly exploited by RNA viruses for replication.

It is demonstrated that the viral nucleoprotein (NP) harnesses the host transcriptional corepressor TLE1 to enhance viral polymerase activity while suppressing the cellular innate response.
