Synthesis, crystal structure and thermal properties of catena-poly[[[bis(2,3-dimethylpyrazine-κN1)cadmium(II)]-di-μ-chlorido] monohydrate]

In the crystal structure of the title compound, the cadmium cations are linked by μ-1,1 bridging chloride anions into chains that are additionally connected by O—H⋯N hydrogen bonding via the water molecules of crystallization into layers.
