AI-Enhanced Directional Pedestrian Sensing Using a Single MEMS Accelerometer

The findings provide proof-of-concept evidence that a single floor-mounted MEMS accelerometer can capture coarse pedestrian path-orientation information without cameras or spatially distributed vibration-sensor networks.
