Glycemic variability, atherosclerosis, and arterial stiffness in persons with type 2 diabetes mellitus: A Mendelian randomization and epidemiologic study

Investigation of visit-to-visit variability in HbA1c and fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and atherosclerotic markers in persons with type 2 diabetes mellitus provides evidence that FPG variability is significantly associated with atherosclerosis, as indicated by the ABI.
