Development and Application of Wireless Transmission Technology in Microgrid

Wireless transmission technology in microgrids has changed from a single narrowband communication method to a system that combines multiple technologies like 5G, LoRa, and NB-IoT. This technology has benefits like easy setup and wide coverage. It solves the communication problem in the grid's 'last mile' and is widely used in power transmission and new energy grid connection. By using key technologies such as transformation inspection, distribution automation, smart meter data collection, network slicing, and secure encryption, wireless transmission can meet the power grid's needs for low delay, high reliability, and many connections. This greatly improves operation efficiency and power supply stability. In the future, this technology will combine more with software-defined networking and edge computing. It will support energy structure transformation and the efficient operation of smart grids. Additionally, advancements in artificial intelligence will enable predictive maintenance and real-time data analytics, further enhancing grid resilience. Integration with blockchain technology is also expected to strengthen data security and transaction transparency in distributed energy systems, paving the way for more sustainable and intelligent microgrid operations.
