Comparative mitochondrial genome analysis undermine the established taxonomic status of Modiolatus flavidus
The results revealed that Leiosolenus failed to form a direct clade with Botula (the type genus of Botulinae), further suggesting ambiguous subfamilial placement of Leiosolenus.
