Cholesterol maintains the degradative capacity of lysosomes during clearance and recycling of dysfunctional mitochondria
It is shown that ER-to-lysosome cholesterol transport preserves lysosomal degradative function during mitophagy, enabling efficient recycling of lipids and their storage in lipid droplets.
