Glutamine stress promotes metastatic potential via hexosamine biosynthetic pathway activity in KRAS/STK11-mutant lung adenocarcinoma

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Loss of STK11 in KRAS-driven lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is observed in approximately 15,000 US lung cancer cases annually and drives an aggressive, resistant disease. STK11 regulates many cellular processes, including metabolism, and loss of this tumo...

Stk11 loss in lung adenocarcinoma increases tumor CXCL16 and is associated with an expansion of Areg+ CXCR6+ IL-17-producing γδ T cells 2310280

Tumor Immunology: Cellular Responses and Tumor Microevironment (TIME) shows that tumor-intrinsic Stk11 loss in lung adenocarcinoma is associated with an expansion of lung gdT17 cells and supports a model in which these pro-tumor cells are recruited to the KS mouse lung via a CXCL16-CXCR6 axis.
