Comparative Performance of Classical Statistical and Machine Learning Models for Melanoma Classification

Machine learning models, particularly XGBoost and Random Forest, achieved superior predictive performance compared with conventional statistical approaches, while patient age emerged as the most influential predictor of malignancy.
