Student-Team Collaboration Scale in Healthcare: A Scale Development Study

Aim: This study aimed to develop the Student–Team Collaboration Scale in Healthcare and to test its psychometric properties.Material and Method: This study employed a methodological design. The study was conducted with 300 senior students studying in the field of health sciences (medicine, nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy and rehabilitation). Scale validity was tested with exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. In the reliability study, item-total correlation, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and test-retest method were used.Results: Factor analysis results showed that the scale consisted of three sub-dimensions and explained 79.3% of the variance. The Cronbach alpha value of the scale consisting of 25 items was found to be .94. Cronbach alpha values for the sub-dimensions were found to be .93 for professionalism and achievements, .92 for communication and .89 for the team, respectively.Conclusion: The findings indicate that the scale is a valid and reliable instrument for assessing the level of team cooperation of students studying in the field of health sciences.
