Digital Transformation and AI in Human Resource Practices – an Analytical Review

Human Resource management has undergone paradigm shift with advent of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI). With the popularity of remote and hybrid work, virtual work methods turned to be a necessity. The companies adapted various innovative digital and AI-driven technologies like machine learning algorithms, cloud systems, HR analytics etc. This study examines the role of AI and emerging technology in digitalization of core human resource activities like Recruitment, Onboarding, Performance management, Training & development, Employee engagement and HR practices, supported by real life cases of prominent organizations operating in India and the benefits and challenges involved in it. The paper is based on secondary data gathered from different research articles, journals and industry reports. Sources are - Google scholar, Elsevier and Science Direct and so on. Zotero and Asta are used for literature management. Results reveal the extent of use of AI by Indian companies in a wide spectrum of HR management to intensify operational efficiency, strategic decision making and employee engagement in a modern workplace.
