Mitochondrial preservation underlies the antioxidant activity of nanoceria particles in light-induced retinal degeneration.

Findings support mitochondrial preservation as a key mechanism underlying nanoceria-mediated retinal neuroprotection and highlight CeO2-NPs as promising candidates for maintaining retinal homeostasis in AMD.
