Response of multi-layer soil temperature and moisture to climate change in the frozen soil Region of Northeast China based on interpretable machine learning

The results indicate that temperatures increased across all four soil layers during the study period, with the magnitude of warming generally decreasing with depth, and changes in soil moisture displayed a non-monotonic pattern, accompanied by substantial interannual variability.
