Phytochemical Screening and Phenolic Profile of Leaves and Fruits of Lotus edulis L. Plant Collected from Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar, Libya

Both leaves and stems showed strong reactions for flavonoids and tannins, whereas alkaloids, anthraquinones, and cardiac glycosides were not detected, and saponins were strongly detected in alcoholic extracts but not in aqueous extracts.

Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis for Phenolic Compounds and Phytochemical Screening and Targeting of Leaves and Fruits of Lotus tetragonolobus L.

Results show that the chemical profile measured exhibits evident organ-dependent differences inLotus tetragonolobus, and is a useful preliminary basis for chromatogram validation and bioactivity-directed exploration of L. tetragonolobus.
