Stability of c-Myc protein differentiates Ras oncogene addiction and MAPK pathway dependency in Ras-mutant multiple myeloma

It is demonstrated that c-Myc protein stability differentiates the response of Ras-mutant MM cells to Ras and MEK inhibition, and suggested that direct targeting of the Ras oncoprotein, rather than its downstream MAPK pathway, may present a more effective strategy.

Cancer stem cells are hyper-responsive sensors of the tumour microenvironment and regulate metastasis dynamics through YAP/TAZ

It is demonstrated that cancer stem cells are hyper-responsive to microenvironmental cues, which they sense and adapt to through YAP/TAZ signalling, thereby playing an essential role in breast cancer lung metastasis.
