Cell type-specific histone acetylation landscape in Alzheimer’s disease reveals a putative role of MITF in microglia

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is characterised by aberrant amyloid beta and tau aggregation, neuroinflammation, demyelination and neurodegeneration, which have been linked to changes in cell-specific gene expression signatures. Among the mechanisms driving cell-type-specific transcriptional changes, histone acetylation play...

Predicting Relevant Microglia‐Associated Cell–Cell Communication Pathways in Alzheimer's Disease: A Role for SPP1

RNAscope confirmed enrichment of SPP1 expressing microglia near amyloid plaques in AD brain tissue samples and altered cellular communications between microglia in the AD brain indicate altered cellular communications between microglia in the AD brain.
