Exploring incongruence in a plant genus with relatively recent polyploidy and cytoplasmic discordance.

While it is true that the Glycine genome is indeed a collection of different historical signals, those signals are complex and exist at the level of clades within trees rather than as entire gene trees, and other biologically relevant signals are much more difficult to localize without an explicit starting hypothesis.

BLink-seq delivers population-scale haplotypes without long reads: a scalable framework for non-model genomics

BLink-seq is presented, a novel Haplotagging method that is compatible with standard short-read next-generation sequencing platforms, is locally reproducible with low-cost reagents, and is scalable for high-throughput sample processing.
