Perivascular Spaces and Diffusion Tensor Imaging Analysis Along the Perivascular Space Show Distinct Associations with Aging and Alzheimer's Disease.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE MRI-visible perivascular spaces (PVS) are structural findings on T2-weighted MRI, whereas diffusion tensor imaging analysis along the perivascular space (DTI-ALPS) measures directional water diffusivity in deep white matter. We compared PVS burden and ALPS across young controls, elderly controls,...

Real-World Challenges in the MRI Detection and Classification of Amyloid-Related Imaging Abnormalities.

Anti-amyloid monoclonal antibody therapies (AATs) are increasingly used for the treatment of early symptomatic Alzheimer disease. Safe implementation of AATs relies on accurate assessment for exclusionary findings on baseline brain MRI and reliable longitudinal detection of amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA),...

Baseline Amyloid PET Centiloid Score and Risk of Amyloid-Related Imaging Abnormalities in Patients Treated With Lecanemab.

Baseline global Centiloid was not independently associated with ARIA in patients treated with lecanemab and Exploratory regional analysis demonstrated modest differences in baseline amyloid uptake in regions that subsequently developed ARIA-E, warranting confirmation in larger prospective studies.
