BmSNX20 restricts Bombyx mori nucleopolyhedrovirus infection and is associated with autophagy-mediated antiviral immunity.

BmSNX20 is identified as a novel antiviral factor in silkworms and highlighted its role in linking membrane trafficking to autophagy and innate immunity, and novel insights into host-virus interactions in invertebrates are provided.

Tudor staphylococcal nuclease promotes Bombyx mori cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus replication through lipid metabolic reprogramming in silkworms.

Bombyx mori cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus (BmCPV), a double-stranded RNA reovirus, causes significant losses in sericulture; however, the host factors that support its replication remain poorly understood. Here, we identify Tudor staphylococcal nuclease (TSN) as a critical pro-viral host factor in silkworms. TSN is a...

Bmlebocin3 could inhibit Bombyx mori cytoplasmic polyhedrosis virus in silkworms via the immune deficiency pathway and through the 20-hydroxyecdysone modulations.

Results identify BmLEB3 as a virus-responsive AMP and suggest that its expression is modulated by IMD-associated signalling and hormonal cues during BmCPV infection in B. mori.
