Considerations for Opioid Use Disorder in Older Adults

Current evidence supports individualized use of MOUD while accounting for comorbidities, polypharmacy, and age-related physiologic changes, and future research should prioritize geriatric-specific screening tools, diagnostic frameworks, treatment protocols, and clinical outcomes.
