BIOFERTILIZANTE SUSTENTÁVEL A PARTIR DE ESPÉCIES NATIVAS DA CAATINGA: ALTERNATIVAS AGROECOLÓGICAS PARA A AGRICULTURA FAMILIAR NO SEMIÁRIDO
This research analyzed the production and application of a sustainable biofertilizer made with native Caatinga species, such as *Mimosa tenuiflora* (jurema-preta) and *Spondias purpurea* (seriguela), as an agroecological alternative for family farming in the semi-arid region. The study was developed in Granjeiro, Ceará, in response to the problem of excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, which degrade the soil and increase production costs. The aim was to evaluate whether a bio-input produced with local species could reduce dependence on synthetic inputs. The objective was to analyze its efficiency in the growth of crops such as beans, corn, tomatoes, lettuce, and coriander. The methodology involved leaf fermentation, controlled application, and monitoring for thirty days. The results indicated greater vegetative vigor, better root development, and greater resistance to water stress. The research reinforces the value of Caatinga resources and integrates traditional and scientific knowledge. It concludes that the biofertilizer presents sustainable, economic, and environmental potential to strengthen family farming in the semi-arid region.
