Communicative behavior and discourse culture in the interactional aspect: Russian and French languages
The aim of the research is to identify the substantial properties of communicative behavior in the context of the functioning of discourse culture in the Russian and French languages. The differences and similarities in how native speakers of Russian and French use their language for interaction and the transmission of cultural norms are considered. The research methodology is based on a comparative and pragmatic approach, the analysis of corpora of everyday texts, media discourse, and transcripts of real conversations (in French and Russian). The scientific novelty of the work lies primarily in the transition from a strictly linguistic approach (with an emphasis on grammar and vocabulary) to a comprehensive and interactional-comparative approach. Elements of novelty are found in the pragmatic and non-verbal aspects of the study in terms of identifying specific discourse markers, as well as a contrastive comparison of non-verbal interaction codes and the confessional foundations of communicative behavior characteristic of each culture. The key epistemological positions of the work are developed within the framework of analyzing the category of "linguistic universals" in synergy with the concept of "ethno-cultural features." The results obtained outline new perspectives in understanding intercultural communication mechanisms, the pragmatic-semiological aspect of data interpretation, and post-communicative linguodidactics, as well as open new epistemological horizons for the study of national mentalities and discoursological worldviews.
