Cytological biomarkers and risk of malignancy in indeterminate thyroid nodules: a systematic review and meta-analysis
The meta-analysis indicates that Galectin-3 and HBME-1, particularly when combined, may improve differentiation between benign and malignant nodules, and these biomarkers show potential but none warrant stand-alone clinical use.
