Innovation as a Key Segment in Contemporary Human Resource Management

In the context of an increasingly disruptive and volatile global labor market, innovation emerges as a critical vector in the transformation of human resource management (HRM). This paper critically examines the strategic role of innovation in redefining core HR functions through the integration of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and adaptive organizational models. Innovation is no longer a peripheral instrument, but a central determinant of strategic decision-making in areas such as talent acquisition, workforce development, performance management, and organizational resilience. The theoretical framework draws upon contemporary approaches to strategic human resource management (SHRM), the resource-based view (RBV), and the principles of sustainability and ethical governance. Special attention is given to the operationalization of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards in HR practice, the development of a digital organizational culture, and the implementation of flexible work arrangements that foster employee engagement and institutionalize innovation. Through a synthetic analysis of recent empirical findings and international case studies, the study identifies key domains in which innovation generates competitive advantage and contributes to the development of resilient organizational systems. The paper concludes that the systemic integration of innovation within HRM is not merely a tactical response to technological change, but a strategic imperative for sustainable, inclusive, and future-oriented organizational development in the digital age.
