Flag leaf chlorophyll content of wheat: genetic dissection, candidate genes prediction and its relationship with other agronomic traits

Findings provide valuable QTL resources and candidate gene targets for marker-assisted selection in breeding programs aiming at developing wheat varieties with high photosynthetic efficiency and yield.

Novel loci for flag leaf thickness with breeding potential: genetic dissection and candidate genes prediction

Significant positive correlations between FLT and spikelet number per spike (SNS) were detected in both RIL populations, and seven putative candidate genes highly expressed in wheat leaves are identified that may participate in the regulation of FLT development.
