Development and retrospective decision-level evaluation of an individualized treatment-planning algorithm for traumatic thoracolumbar junction injuries

The evaluation showed that the algorithm mainly refines the tactical rather than the strategic level of a decision, and its underlying modules showed internal performance compatible with exploratory risk stratification.

CT-based assessment of posterior ligamentous complex integrity in AO spine type A1–A2 thoracolumbar junction fractures under conditions of diagnostic uncertainty

Purpose: The diagnosis of posterior ligamentous complex (PLC) injury in thoracolumbar fractures remains a major challenge under conditions of diagnostic uncertainty, particularly when magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is unavailable or delayed. This study aimed to develop and internally validate a quantitative CT-based...

Prediction of posterior ligamentous complex injury in AO spine type A3–A4 fractures of the thoracolumbar junction using CT morphometry

The developed quantitative CT-based score and nomogram enable reliable risk stratification of PLC injury in AO Spine A3–A4 fractures and demonstrated high predictive accuracy, biomechanical interpretability, and practical applicability in settings where MRI is unavailable.
