An IoT-based Smart Energy Optimization and Carbon Emission Reduction System for Sustainable Buildings

The rapid increase in energy use in residential and commercial areas has caused inefficiencies and environmental issues, prompting the need for a more intelligent approach to energy management. GreenVision is a smart energy optimization system utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) technology that helps monitor, analyze, and control the energy consumption in buildings. It uses real-time data collected from sensors and devices monitoring the appliances' operation and adjusts the energy consumption accordingly based on occupancy and environmental parameters. It runs both autonomously and interactively, depending on the mode chosen by the user through cloud computing. The system constantly gathers and evaluates energy usage statistics to calculate the carbon emissions based on established standards. Predictive analytics is used to identify inefficiencies in energy consumption.
