PREEMPT-FaaS: Taming Orchestration Times in Latency-Sensitive Serverless Environments

This paper presents PREEMPT-FaaS, an orchestration controller that, unlike commonly adopted controllers, adopts a fixed-priority preemptive scheduling of requests to guarantee reduced orchestration times to high-priority and highly critical instances.
