The Chlamydia trachomatis effector CT226 directly engages LRRFIP1 to recruit a multiprotein complex that limits inclusion size and progeny production

The molecular basis and functional consequences of CT226-mediated recruitment of the LFT complex to the inclusion membrane are established and a previously unrecognized role for this effector–host interaction at late timepoints of the C. trachomatis intracellular developmental cycle is uncovered.
