Endothelial PIEZO1 regulates Weibel-Palade body exocytosis.

It is demonstrated that the opening of a mechanosensitive cation channel PIEZO1 on the EC surface triggers rapid WPB exocytosis and a mechanosensitive molecular pathway coupling inflammation with haemostasis is revealed.
