Erd\H{o}s-Ko-Rado properties of Steiner 2-designs

In this paper, we prove an Erd\H{o}s-Ko-Rado characterisation of maximum intersecting families of blocks in Steiner $2$-designs arising from Desarguesian maximal arcs.
