Mechanism analysis of MPTP-induced Parkinson's disease-like pathology via the HPA axis-microglial glucocorticoid receptor pathway.

MPTP-induced PD is accompanied by HPA axis overactivation and downregulation of microglial GR signaling, suggesting that this pathway contributes to MPTP neurotoxicity.
