Positive hyperbolic periodic orbits for area-preserving maps and Reeb flows

We prove that a strongly nondegenerate Reeb vector field on a closed contact three-manifold has infinitely many simple positive hyperbolic periodic orbits if it has at least three simple periodic orbits.
