THYROID HOMEOSTASIS AND METABOLIC DISORDERS IN OBESE CHILDREN

It was found that 52.8% of obese children showed a decrease in the functional activity of the thyroid gland, determined using the integral thyroid index (ITI), while the levels of TSH and thyroid hormones were within the reference values.
