Radiological VQA with Multimodal LLMs: Performance and Insights

The findings reinforce that MLLMs currently serve best as assistive decisionsupport tools rather than autonomous diagnostic agents, and highlight the potential of retrieval-augmented and context-aware strategies for improving clinical reliability and interpretability.
