Conflicting Supervision Moves Commitment, Not Capability: A 12.29{\sigma} arrangement effect that is exactly zero under a convention-agnostic score

"Train a model on the same problems written under two incompatible conventions, both correct, and ask what the ordering of that data writes into the parameters. The learning-rate schedule is not a background condition for that question. It is the averaging operator, and it decides the answer. We prove a bound in which...

Normal Tail Suppression for Low-False-Positive RGB–3D Industrial Anomaly Localization

RGB images and 3D point clouds provide complementary appearance and geometric cues for industrial anomaly localization, yet a small number of high-scoring normal regions can still produce spurious defect candidates under stringent false-positive constraints. We propose Normal Tail Suppression (NTS), a training-stage re...

Self-Cleaning and Captured Anyway: One Measured Primitive for Error in a Store an Agent Writes to Itself, and What a Falling Score Actually Measures

"An agent that writes its conclusions into a store it later retrieves from closes a loop usually reported as one-way contamination. Taking the loop to the infinite-tenure limit against an append-only store gives a different picture: because writing never deletes, the reachable state space has a hard upper edge at (n-1)...

The Architect, the Adversary, and the Judge: Closed-Loop Generation of Standards-Aligned Assessment Items at Scale

CLAIM, a production pipeline for K-12 assessment-item generation coupling a two-stage generate-then-attack protocol, shows the asymmetry recurring when the evaluator itself is distilled, and analyzes this as open-set boundary determination, a task autoregressive decoders are structurally ill-equipped to solve.

A Judge Should Know What Changed:Construct Validity for LLM-as-a-Judge Evaluation

The results show that high judge agreement can coexist with weak sensitivity to changes in the construct being evaluated, motivating joint reporting of invariance and sensitivity and auditing the validation set itself.

Judging Is Not Enumerating: Silent Omissions in LLM-Authored Acceptable Sets

This work measures the capability that role assumes and finds it lacking under the protocol the role is usually deployed with, one-shot greedy authoring with no test-time reasoning.
