CAER: Causal Action Effect Reweighting for World Model Training

World models are becoming core infrastructure for embodied intelligence, with action-conditioned video generation providing controllable predictions of how scenes evolve after agent interventions. Yet existing models are commonly trained with space-time-uniform mean squared error, allowing abundant background tokens to dominate the gradient while sparse interaction dynamics remain under-optimized; such uniform fitting rewards reconstructing appearance rather than learning how actions change the world. We introduce Causal Action Effect Reweighting (CAER), a general training paradigm that redistributes supervision toward the tokens whose predicted future is causally affected by the action. CAER contrasts the model's own predictions with and without action conditioning to localize these tokens online, then normalizes the resulting effect map into a weight that preserves the total coefficient mass and changes only where it is spent. This online signal requires no external annotations or offline preprocessing, avoids additional data-processing time, and scales naturally with model and dataset size. Experiments across heterogeneous action-conditioned world-model tasks show that CAER converges to better solutions than uniform MSE training, with consistent improvements in the physical consistency, controllability, and visual quality of generated videos.

ActiveFly-Bench: Aligning Embodied Question Answering with Vision-Language-Action for Aerial Embodied Perception

We introduce ActiveFly-Bench, the first benchmark to bridge cyberspace reasoning and physical-world interaction for UAV embodied perception. The benchmark decomposes active perception into three hierarchical tasks: Aerial Embodied Question Answering (Air-EQA), Observation Behavior Planning (OBP), and Fine-grained Language-guided UAV Control (FLUC), explicitly connecting high-level task understanding, behavior planning, and low-level control. The datasets are collected from both real-world and simulated outdoor environments for training and evaluation. We further develop ActiveFly, a closed-loop UAV agent that integrates visual-language reasoning with fine-grained control, and deploy it on a physical UAV platform. Experiments with representative VLMs and VLA models show that current UAV agents still struggle with behavior planning, viewpoint adjustment, and robust task completion in active perception. These results establish ActiveFly-Bench as a new testbed for embodied aerial intelligence.

SCOUT: Unlocking Enhanced Spatial Reasoning via Structured Chain-of-Thought and Multi-Objective Process Reward

This work designs a structured Chain-of-Thought (CoT) framework that explicitly models 3D environmental perception to ensure robust spatial understanding and reasoning and introduces a novel RL algorithm featuring multi-objective process rewards and a tailored advantage estimation method, facilitating fine-grained credit assignment across distinct segments of the reasoning trajectory.
