Emotion-Aware AI Chatbots as Emotional Support: Reducing Communication Anxiety and Boosting Willingness to Communicate among EAP Learners

It is concluded that emotion-aware AI chatbots show preliminary promise as affective scaffolds complementing human EAP instruction in larger, randomized, practice-equivalent designs.
