Lineage-specific expansion of a potential novel class of resistance genes in Myrtaceae

Findings support TNJ as a potentially new class of R genes in Myrtaceae with Jacalin as a replacement for LRR and conserved residues in the TIR domain and functional motifs within the NB-ARC domain supports TNJ’s potential role in immune signalling.
