Septal Nonischemic Late Gadolinium Enhancement After Myocardial Infarction Is Associated With Adverse Remodeling and Improves Risk Stratification for Heart Failure Outcomes.

BACKGROUND The prevalence, anatomic distribution, enhancement patterns, and prognostic value of nonischemic late gadolinium enhancement (NI-LGE) in patients with prior myocardial infarction were not systematically investigated. METHODS A total of 948 patients (mean±SD age, 56.2±10.9 years; 88.4% men) diagnosed with p...

Left Atrium Myocardial Remodeling and Prognostic Marker Derived from CMR Feature Tracking in Pediatric Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.

LA reservoir and conduit strains derived from CMR -FT were impaired in pediatric patients with HCM and showed important prognostic value for adverse clinical outcomes, providing incremental prognostic value when combined in a model with clinical and conventional risk factors.

Cardiac MRI-Derived Right Ventricular Strain for Risk Stratification in Pediatric and Adolescent Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy: A Multicenter Cohort Study.

Pediatric and adolescent ACM manifests a malignant phenotype with high burden of heart failure and arrhythmia, and RVGLS provides independent and incremental prognostic value beyond conventional CMR markers and could improve risk stratification in this high-risk population.

Incremental Diagnostic Value of Right Atrial Strain in Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy: A Cardiac MRI Study.

RA phasic strain is impaired in ARVC even when RV function is preserved and in combination with RVGLS, RA conduit strain showed improved diagnostic performance and may serve as a potential adjunctive imaging marker, although further evaluation is required.
