Metabolic Trade-Off Between Carbon and Phenylpropanoid Pathways in Wheat Under Saline-Alkali Stress Revealed by Multi-Omics Analysis.

Wheat production is severely limited by soil salinity-alkalinity, yet the molecular mechanisms governing seed germination under such stress remain largely unelucidated. This study employed integrated transcriptomics, metabolomics, and WGCNA to decipher the adaptation strategies of germinating wheat seeds to gradient sa...

Functional Annotation of Altered Root Metabolites and Metabolic Pathways in Spring Wheat Cultivars Under Varying Salinity and Photoperiod

The combined effects of salinity, normal photoperiod and extended photoperiod on root metabolites in two salt‐tolerant and two salt‐sensitive spring wheat cultivars are examined to suggest that targeting metabolic pathway biomarkers may facilitate the breeding of wheat cultivars with improved salinity resilience.

Integrated metabolomic and physiological profiling reveals mechanisms of drought tolerance in soybean.

BACKGROUND Drought is a major constraint to soybean productivity, yet the metabolic mechanisms underlying genotypic variation in drought tolerance remain incompletely understood. This study investigated metabolic and physiological responses to water deficit in three Egyptian soybean breeding lines (L07, L34, and L74)....

Integrated Multi-Omics Analysis Reveals the Involvement of Alanine, Aspartate and Glutamate Metabolism in Wheat Responses to Salt Stress

Salt stress is frequently encountered by plants and is a major constraint on crop production. Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is a staple cereal crop that is important for human health and food security. However, the response mechanisms of roots from different wheat varieties to salt stress remain unclear. In this study,...
