Abstract
The ALICE Collaboration has extensively studied neutron and proton emission in various electromagnetic dissociation classes of Pb ions, coherent and incoherent $J/\psi$ photoproduction, as well as coherent $\rho^0$ photoproduction using the Run 2 data set, including results from the $|t|$-dependence of (in)coherent $J/\psi$. These measurements, which studied exclusive charmonia photoproduction as a function of e.g. energy, Bjorken-$x$, rapidity, and neutron emission, provide unique insights into the initial state of protons and ions, with great sensitivity for both gluon saturation and shadowing. The ALICE Collaboration has also carried out various measurements of different final state systems, such as exclusive four pion photoproduction as well as the measurement of the impact-parameter dependence of coherent production. Run 3 data opened a new area for inclusive measurements in UPCs, where $\pi$, $K^{\pm}$, $K^0_S$, $D^0$ meson and $p$, $\Lambda$ baryon fully corrected spectra are extensively studied. On top of that, rare processes like $\tau$ pair production are shown. Finally, the prospects for these and new measurements using the Run 3 and Run 4 data are discussed.
High-multiplicity proton–proton and proton–lead collisions at LHC energies feature signatures similar to those observed in \PbPb collisions, such as e.g. strangeness enhancement and collective expansion effects, which are traditionally attributed to the formation of the quark–gluon plasma. One way to study them is thro...

The fully stripped ions used in heavy-ion collisions at the LHC are an excellent source of high-energy quasi-real photons. These can interact with photons emitted by the oncoming nucleus, or with the nucleus itself, either directly in inelastic processes or diffractively via pomeron exchange. Diffractive photonuclear p...

We present the calculation for the open charm production in ultraperipheral collisions at the Large Hadron Collider. Predictions for $D^0$ photoproduction using the Generalized-Photon-Nucleus FONLL formalism are presented, extending previously developed framework for electron-proton and electron-nucleus collisions. Th...

We propose to investigate the dynamics of hadronic matter in the strong QCD regime using the pion-beam facility at GSI in conjunction with HADES. This program will study hadron physics through elementary pion-nucleon interactions up to $\sqrt{s}\approx$2.35 GeV, bridging cold matter research with detailed analyses of e...

The GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab is well suited for exclusive studies of strangeness production, combining a linearly polarized photon beam at $8.0<E_\gamma<8.8$ GeV with a large-acceptance detector that reconstructs weakly decaying hyperons. We outline a research program built on three aspects: (i) spectroscopy o...
