2026 · SHS Web of Conferences · 0 citations · 3 references

Abstract

Inclusive education has become a crucial objective in promoting educational equity worldwide. Inclusive pedagogy is the practical approach which aims at supporting the learning of all students in mainstream classrooms regardless of their differences. This paper explores the concepts of inclusive education and inclusive pedagogy and their individual and societal impact. Through a critical analysis of existing literature, this paper demonstrates the impact of inclusive pedagogy on students’ class participation and academic performance, social and emotional development, and societal and economic contributions. The impact of inclusive pedagogy is significant. However, the application of inclusive pedagogy has been hindered by a number of challenges such as limited teacher capacity and potential misuse in AI. This paper argues that inclusive education can be promoted by improving the professional capacity of teachers, the utilization of artificial intelligence and assistive technologies, and a rethink of educational values. Inclusive pedagogy is a teaching approach and a moral obligation to equity and social justice.
