Abstract
Abstract Since the establishment of the tribe Cloresmini by Stål in 1873, five genera have been recognized: three distributed in the Oriental region and two in the Oceanian region. In this study, we reconstructed the phylogenetic relationships of 15 species – representing all genera within the Oriental clade – using mitochondrial genomes alongside nuclear 18S and 28S ribosomal DNA loci. Molecular analyses revealed that the genus Cloresmus is paraphyletic group (Notobitus + (Cloresmus + (Cloresmus + Notobitiella))), a result morphologically supported by the complete fusion of the median fissure and the M vein of the corium. Consequently, we formally establish a new genus Gemenesisgen. nov. and propose two new combinations: Gemenesis pulchelluscomb. nov. and G. yunnanensiscomb. nov. Furthermore, by integrating molecular and morphological evidence, we describe a new species, Cloresmus tibiaspinussp. nov., illustrating its diagnostic characters and detailing interspecific genetic distances. This study clarifies the evolutionary relationships and taxonomic boundaries within the Oriental clade of Cloresmini, providing a robust framework for future systematic revisions and evolutionary studies of the entire tribe.
Within the family Rhodomelaceae several taxa exhibit significant cryptic diversity and high phenotypic plasticity, requiring the employment of molecular data for the accurate delimitation of genera and species. Among these, the genus Polysiphonia sensu lato has been demonstrated to be polyphyletic, and several new gene...

We present a comprehensive systematic revision of the monotypic helicarionid genus Siamochlamys, in Thailand. Based on extensive land snail collections from across Thailand, we describe two new species (S. isanensis sp. nov. and S. lannaensis sp. nov.) and reassign two previously overlooked species S. mitiuscula (Marte...

This study employs an integrative taxonomic approach, combining morphological observations, phylogenetic analyses based on mitochondrial COI, 16S rRNA and nuclear 28S rRNA sequences, and molecular species delimitation using COI sequences, to resolve the long-standing generic delimitation dispute between the isopod ge...
Drepanothrix Sars, 1862 is a monotypic genus of uncertain position within the family Macrothricidae (Cladocera: Anomopoda). Gamogenetic stages of Drepanothrix are poorly described despite the importance of their characters for anomopod systematics. Drepanothrix dentata (Eurén, 1861) is widespread in the Holarctic, but...

Two new species, Diamesa sangecha sp. nov. and D. demavendensis sp. nov., are described from the Caucasus and Iran, respectively. An overview of the current taxonomy of the Diamesa latitarsis group is also provided, integrating both morphological and molecular genetic data. This combined approach expands the morphologi...

Detailed morphological characteristics and a two-marker phylogenetic inference using the nuclear ribosomal internal transcribed spacers and the large subunit (nrLSU) gene revealed three new species in Russulales, viz., Gloeocystidiellum tenuissimum, Vararia farinacea and V. ruiliensis.
